Cost of Care
Choosing how to pay for your care or the care of a loved one is a difficult decision; you want to do what’s best, but we do live in the real world and appreciate that price is important.
At Handle with Care (Black Country) Limited, we do not expect people who use our services to have to compromise on anything – we offer the highest quality of care at a price which represents excellent value for money.
A common assumption people often make, is that receiving a personalised care service at home is beyond their financial means; however, as more information about financing care becomes available, care at home is becoming an increasingly popular option through:
Personal Budget
A personal budget confirms the overall cost of your care and support the local authority coordinates for you. It specifies how much, if any, you must pay towards the overall cost of your care and the remaining amount to be paid by the local authority.
Direct Payment
Direct payments are a funding choice in personal budgets. They allow you to purchase your own care and support services, with the aim of maximising your involvement and control over how your care needs are met. Depending on the type of support that you want, and the amount paid to you as direct payment, you may need to pay for some of your costs of care yourself. To find out if you are eligible for direct payments, please contact your local authority.
Private Payment
Our private homecare care and support services are available from just 30 minutes per week to 24 hours per day.
All our Homecare support workers are trained in accordance with regulated national standards and are regularly competency assessed to ensure they can provide personal care and support services such as meal preparation, housework and mobility support to the highest standard.
